HELLO
I am a Western New York-born visual artist and educator whose mixed-media work explores the interconnected themes of femininity, transformation, and the natural world. Now based in the City of Buffalo, where I am raising my family, I draw from the rhythms of daily life and the surrounding landscape. My work often references the ocean as a metaphor for the feminine—vast, mysterious, nurturing, and resilient—and incorporates forms inspired by coral reefs to symbolize self-sustaining female communities.
With over 20 years of experience as a K–12 visual arts educator, I have spent my career fostering creativity in others while steadily cultivating my own studio practice. My current work combines ceramics, embroidery, beadwork, and hand-dyed textiles—materials rooted in traditional women’s craft—into sculptural wall reliefs that speak to the repetition and ritual of caregiving, labor, and endurance. My compositions frequently take the shape of circles and spirals, echoing cycles of growth, healing, and wholeness.
